Folk Drama
'Friend' Knobbin on Facebook!
Kate and Corwen perform and run workshops in various folk customs including Mumming, Guising, Wassailing, Lent Crocking, Country Dance and more.
We are available as a walkabout act for parades, corporate events, medieval pageants etc. We can bring friends along to perform a full mummers play, or just come as a duo, to play medieval or Viking music.
We also 'operate' our famous friend Knobbin the 'Oss, our hobby horse modelled on the Soul-caking horse from Antrobus in Cheshire. Knobbin has appeared on Channel 4 show 'Love Thy Neighbour' and Harry Hill's TV Burp! He can come with a musician and one or more dancers for your event.
Get in touch for more information.
Knobbin is made from a horse skull, but there are lots of ways to make a hobby horse and several different types of 'Oss from around the UK.
